Tenzin Gyatso Scholars Program

A selected group of Tibetan scholars, both monks and nuns, will be brought to the United States and offered a series of specially designed courses in disciplines such as philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, and world religions. His Holiness has long wished to modernize the monastic education curriculum, and this program will broaden these individuals’ intellectual horizon, inform their future roles as leaders, and equip them to communicate the teaching of Buddha in an increasingly accessible and effective way in the world.
