ACCOMMODATIONS Please visit the Accommodations page (link at left) for more information about area accommodations or to visit the room and rideshare message board. Onsite camping is only available for retreat staff and volunteers who must be onsite fulltime.
ENVIRONMENT The Institute is located on 350 acres of land perched in the Helderberg Mountains. The highest elevation point on the land is approximately 1600'. Because of weather patterns influenced by our proximity to Canada and the Great Lakes, temperatures can vary unpredictably. Days can be sunny and warm or hot and humid with temperatures as high as 90's (F). However, the evenings can bring chilly temperatures. Although the average temperature for this time of the year is 70 degrees, please be prepared for a variety of temperatures ranging from the low 50's to the upper 80's as well as sunny, clear skies to overcast, grey and rainy skies.
TRAVEL The Institute is a mere 50 minutes away from the Albany International Airport, Bus Station, and Train Station. Comprehensive travel information will be provided here soon.
